Karen Crist is a well known leader in the multichannel industry, working with over hundreds of catalog and online companies to improve the profitability of their businesses. She began her career in direct marketing at Sara Lee Direct, then recognized the potential of the then nascent cooperative database marketing field and joined Abacus in 1994. After leading the client services group, she started various new initiatives that lead to her interest in online marketing with DoubleClick in 1999. Her entrepreneur spirit continued and she joined the founding management team of the very successful venture capitalist-backed start up, NextAction. She furthered her work in the online industry with leadership and consulting roles at SHOP.COM, a comparison shopping engine, and DMinSite, an ecommerce platform company.
As owner of Bright Cloud Marketing, Karen leverages her nearly 20 years in the online and direct marketing field to help merchants bring more qualified traffic to their sites through paid search and email marketing.
Karen has a BS in Economics from the College of William and Mary and an MBA from Duke’s Fuqua School of Business. She lives outside of Boulder, CO where she enjoys her family and the beautiful Colorado weather.

Phillip brings over 20 years of marketing experience working with package goods, software and direct response companies, including Apple, Symantec and Borland International. For the past several years, Phillip has worked with DMinSite to provide paid search and analytic services to many of their 75+ merchant clients. He possesses that neat, unique combination of loving to work with numbers while being able to imagine and effectively communicate marketing campaigns to clients.
Phillip recently moved from Cincinnati to Boulder, CO where he loves to hike, eat healthy food and give his dog many places to run! And, I love the fact that he is older than me.

Chris Kampfe joins Bright Cloud Marketing as a search consultant. Prior to BCM, Chris worked on the online payment processor, PaySimple, where he was responsible for Paid Search, SEO and Site Analytics. His background also includes working for an online travel company in Denver.
Although clearly the youngest member of our team, Chris rivals any of our team member’s passion for online marketing and social media. His enthusiasm and delight in working with clients has made Chris an integral part of our Bright Cloud Marketing Team.
Chris has an undergraduate degree in Journalism/Communication from Colorado State University. Like the rest of the team, he enjoys the great outdoors, music and friends & family. Unlike the rest, Chris stays up past 9pm.
